How do you have a positive impact? I’m excited to start my post of ambassador at CPHS and help incoming students transition into the DPT program. I believe we will have a positive impact on new students by showing them what Campbell is all about.
Why did you choose CPHS and how do you expect to benefit from being part of Campbell? Have you established a connection with the “Campbell family?” » I chose to be part of the CPHS because of the “family” approach of the program as well as the patient-centered approach. Also be able to enter the clinic and be part of the pro bono clinic so early in school is really beneficial to becoming a complete therapist.
Please summarize your personal, professional and academic background. I graduated from Appalachian State University (ASU) in 2021, earning my BS in Exercise Science with a minor in Nutrition. At Appalachian State, I was a member of the Exercise Science club, a member and secretary of the Appalachian State Snowboarding team, and an advisor for the Health Professions program. I was also part of the welcoming committee for freshmen and was responsible for showing them around the campus and helping them prepare for the first week of classes. I have been involved in research for the Department of Exercise Science at ASU and studied abroad in Italy during the summer semester, learning the exercise science approach abroad. After applying to physical therapy schools across the state, I decided to pursue my educational career at Campbell. I loved my experiences on campus. I am part of the Student Government Association’s first year as Social Chair and am excited to continue as Student Ambassador.
Reasons prospective students should choose Campbell over other graduate and professional schools: Home environment, education, and focus on rural health are all important reasons why I decided to choose Campbell over other top schools. A unique aspect of Campbell is that our teachers are available at all times to help us with any problem we may face.
