Hello Bella! Today we are discussing the best Italian cuisine at Disney World. And believe me, there are plenty to choose from. If you’re craving creamy ice cream, decadent desserts, cheesy pizzas or gourmet pastas, you’ve come to the right place. We’ve already explored the best Chinese, Mexican and French cuisine at Walt Disney World, so today let’s explore the amazing Italian cuisine you need for your next Walt Disney World vacation.
Polpettine

Our first stop on this foodie adventure will be Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante at Disney Springs. Located in The Landing section of Disney Springs, this restaurant serves amazing Italian cuisine. Choosing the antipasti, main dishes and desserts you want to enjoy in this restaurant is difficult. By the way, we recommend that you enjoy every course – it’s so good. We are big fans of Maria & Enzo’s Polpettine. This antipasto offering makes the perfect appetizer. At $16, this dish features meatballs braised with rich ricotta cheese and parmesan cheese. As a cheese lover, I’m in heaven eat on this course.

As for main dishes, you have delicious options like Lasagna Bolognese with Beef Veal and Pork Stew available for $29. Or, sample the costume di manzo of braised beef ribs served with creamy polenta fontina cheese and accompanied by roasted carrots and onions. This main dish is $39. Of course, there are plenty of entree options at this restaurant, and you’ll want to browse. At dessert time, consider ordering an ice cream or enjoying a classic Siciliano cannoli for $16.
Gelato

If you’re looking to enjoy the most refreshing Italian delights on a night out at Disney Springs, we recommend visiting Vivoli il Gelato. This ice cream shop is available from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily, making it a great stop for an afternoon break to help beat the Florida heat or for a late-night treat. Located not far from Maria & Enzo’s restaurant at The Landing, this authentic ice cream shop offers artisanal flavors of this dessert. If the gelato is too heavy for you, or if you prefer a non-dairy treat, Vivoli il Gelato also serves a range of sorbettos. In fact, for customers 21 and older, the Frozen flavor is a great choice. Other alcohol flavored sorbets are Cabernet sorbet and Schofferhofer grapefruit sorbet. Plus, there are different selections of sorbetto flavors like lime, mango, and pineapple, among other fruity flavors.

If you’re looking to indulge in ice cream (which we highly recommend), you can choose from flavors like Lemon Bar, Peanut Butter, Pistachio, Cookies & Cream, and Raspberry Cheesecake. The menu is updated regularly, so while the flavor you have chosen may change, we assure you that more delicious flavors will be available at the store. Gelato and sorbetto in a one scoop serving are $7.50 each. If you’re looking to enjoy a larger serving size, you can purchase a two-scoop cup for $8.75. We recommend buying your ice cream or sorbet in a mug as the heat melts these treats quickly.
But, if you prefer a waffle cone, they are available for purchase for an additional $1.50.
This shop also serves traditional Italian desserts for you to taste. An ube tiramisu pop is a fun spin on a classic Italian dessert. The $7 dessert is ube sweet cream with coconut and crushed graham crackers. A blueberry cannoli is another $7 dessert at this restaurant that you should consider. This light dough is topped with sweet avocado cream and fresh blueberries.

If you fancy a milkshake or a float, this is also a great place. You can create your own milkshake for $10.50 and have your choice of traditional flavors for around $12 each. Don’t even tell us about the expanded cannoli bakery menu and cookie sandwiches. This shop is something you have to experience for yourself.
Roma tomato bruschetta

In my opinion, one of the most underrated sections of Walt Disney World Resort is Disney’s Boardwalk. Located near EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Boardwalk is a great place to spend an afternoon outside the parks. From drinking cocktails and dining, to snapping photos, lounging in the sun, or browsing beautiful resorts, there’s plenty to do at the Disney Boardwalk. This area also happens to be home to one of our favorite Italian dining options at Walt Disney World. Stroll through Trattoria Al Forno on Disney’s Boardwalk to enjoy a traditional Italian dinner with a delicious glass of wine. Located near Flying Fish and AbracadaBar, Trattoria Al Forno offers a casual dining experience in a table service setting.
This table service restaurant is available for breakfast and dinner, but we like to visit during dinner the most. There are so many hearty Italian dishes to enjoy. Roma tomato bruschetta is only $13 and is one hell of a delicious and flavorful appetizer. This appetizer consists of toasted ciabatta bread stacked with basil and shiny fresh Roma tomatoes drizzled with balsamic vinegar. Can you imagine a more delicious appetizer?

The savory calamari is a guest favorite at $17, as is the insalata caprese at $13. The caprese insalata is served with homemade burrata, vine-ripened tomatoes and delicious extra virgin olive oil. When it comes time for starters, we recommend the grilled swordfish. This dish features delicious swordfish grilled to perfection and served with cannellini beans, zucchini, onions, peppers and pancetta for $32.
If you’re craving steak, we recommend the Oak Grilled Florentine Steak. This $39 entree features steak grilled to your liking and served with fire-roasted vegetables, succulent potatoes in olive oil and Amarone butter. At dessert time, you should be tempted by the affogato al café. This $8 dessert combines frozen coconut pod milk with hazelnut chocolate ribbons and amaretti cookies. Delicious!
Insacti Misti

Just steps from the Disney boardwalk, you’ll find our next Italian food recommendation at Il Mulino. Located in the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel, this Italian restaurant offers an upscale and delicious dining experience. As with any exclusive dining experience, you’ll see a more expensive menu ranging from $35 to $60 per adult. Il Mulino New York Trattoria was the original home of this restaurant and Il Mulino at the Swan Hotel serves traditional Italian dishes with the same precision and excellent flavors. An antipasti that we particularly like in this restaurant is prosciutto and melon. At $14, this appetizer of aged prosciutto and seasonal melon is unique and flavorful.

If you were looking for something a little more traditional, try the polpette al forno. This Italian meatball entrée is served with a tomato basil sauce and sprinkled with parmesan cheese. Our main recommendation is definitely that you share one of the antipasti designed for two people. The insaccati misti offers a platter of Italian delights like prosciutto, bologna, sospressata, parmesan reggiano, roasted red peppers, spicy cherry pickled chili peppers and buffalo mozzarella to name a few . This decadent and delicious entrée lets you taste so many flavors of Italy for $26.
Chicken fettuccine

Of course, we can’t talk about amazing Italian restaurants at Walt Disney World and not go to the Italy Pavilion at EPCOT. This World Showcase pavilion serves amazing food, quick service and table service restaurants. From cocktails and pizza to espresso, you can’t make a wrong choice at this lodge. If you’re looking for a table-service dining experience to satisfy your craving for Italian cuisine, we recommend Tutto Italia Ristorante. Open daily for lunch and dinner, this restaurant is my go-to for pasta on a trip to Disney. I recommend starting your lunch or dinner with calamari fritti. At $23, you can purchase this shareable format of this delicious appetizer served with a piccante marinara.
If salmon sounds like a great starter, we recommend the seared salmon fillet served with an asparagus and herb sauce. This dish rings in at $34 and is truly a light, fresh and delicious main course. As I said, my favorite dish in this restaurant is pasta. Ravioli, fettuccine and gnocchi are all delicious, but when in doubt I always opt for fettuccine and add grilled chicken breast.

The fettuccine is bathed in a parmesan cream sauce that is heavenly. I loved the addition of shrimp and chicken breast each time I ordered this dish and alternated the proteins I choose each visit. As you know, there are quick service dessert options that you can purchase at the quick service stops in the Italy pavilion if you prefer to wait a bit to enjoy a dessert after leaving the restaurant. However, if you choose to indulge in the dolce (dessert) at Tutto Italia Ristorante, the tiramisu is a grand finale. I love the coffee flavor of this dessert, but I never find the espresso flavor too strong or bitter. Treat yourself and order a dessert, you won’t regret it!
